The Tibetan sling itself — pure hand-spun yak wool, braided in the traditional knotwork that has guided herds across the plateau for three thousand years. This is where the brand began, and it remains our flagship.

The Classic finish — with the herders' traditional red-and-green tassels, exactly as it has always been made — co-created with the Maozha artisans in Yushu. Wear it as a belt, a long phone strap, or a bag charm.

The Nine-Eye

九眼手链 · 护身之结

Nine woven diamonds circle the wrist — the Tibetan number of completeness, the eye of wisdom that sees through darkness. Legend calls this the "indestructible vajra cord": a blessing once braided by monks to calm a troubled year.

Our signature edition pairs the nine eyes with a single nazar bead — the nomad road meets the Silk Road, luck doubled. The first batch was seventeen pieces, knotted before the digging season; each is a one-off.

Questions, answered

Why does my piece take 2–3 weeks?
Everything is knotted to order by artisans in Yushu — around their herding and family rhythm, not a factory clock. Your wait is someone's unhurried handwork. We'll send photos when your piece goes on the loom.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
No — and that's the point. Hand-spun yak wool varies in shade; hand-dyed colors vary by batch; each weaver's tension leaves a signature. Expect beautiful variation, and know that no two pieces on earth are identical.
How do I care for yak wool and wool braid?
Keep it dry, air it in shade, and spot-clean with a damp cloth if needed. Avoid machine washing and long sun exposure. Like all handwork, it ages gracefully with use — the braid softens and the colors mellow.
Shipping & returns?
Worldwide shipping from China, tracked. Made-to-order pieces are crafted for you personally, so we can't accept casual returns — but if anything is wrong with your order, write to us and we'll make it right.
How do the artisans get paid?
Makers are paid per piece at rates they set with us, ahead of each batch. Wurdoo began as a way to bring income to the weaving families of Maozha Township — that order of priorities hasn't changed.
